Wednesday’s New Venture

When I stepped onto the boat at the dock, a fog rolled in; its purpose manifesting around me as my shield. The fog knew what I needed and provided me with safe passage to my newest venture.

I have to admit, once I got out of Nevermore and started making my way through the world, I thought I would have to resort to less intriguing and more mundane career paths like a Librarian, an Accountant, or *shudders* Customer Service.

But when I saw this ‘Wanted’ poster for Cupid, I knew I had found my calling.  A job that would grant me not only the ability to use my hunting acumen but also allow me to do so legally is exactly what I needed to get my foot in the door of adulthood.

My maiden voyage has taken me to some unusually colorful hamlet called Amourville and hunting Cupid seems like the best use of my time. But make no mistake, anyone who gets in my way will meet the end of my crossbow, including this mysterious entity spreading *dry heaves* love. And those unwilling to talk will definitely be persuaded into sharing, using some enjoyable method of torture if I have anything to do with it.  Well…I will enjoy it at least.

Inhaling the stench of fear and anxiety, I know I have found my place in the world. I am home.
