Every now and again, I get into these moods where I want to simply be one with the flowers, the grass, the garden. I want to lay in them and feel one with the universe; searching the chaotic arrangements for something that makes sense.
The mess of colors, the collision of aromas from each one’s center; it’s chaos. But in that chaos, I sometimes find it calming to bathe in all of the mix and mess of it all. It’s as though all of this chaos in the midst of one of Earth’s most beautiful creations is designed to help cool the storm inside of us as we rest among them. Of course, it could be the closeness to all that extra oxygen that generated in the exchange when all we’re doing together is breathing: me giving the greenery CO2 and it giving me O2. An unspoken partnership of survival between two organisms that have nothing to do with each other aside from peacefully coexisting.
