Tacos in Little Havana

I just stopped off in Little Havana and found this quaint little eatery.  It’s Tuesday and I haven’t had a Taco Tuesday in so long I almost forgot what they taste like.

So I ventured inside and after placing my order, ventured outside to take in the culture.  Man it’s so pretty here.  I could sit here all day.  I had an orange soda…kind of fitting consider I’m bathed in such a delightful color today.  And combined with this glorious food, my lunch did not disappoint!  I think I’ll take in a movie. I hear that Telanovella is pretty good. Ciao

Diving In To Bakes on Mesh!

Helloooo ladies and gents!  So today’s blog is a little bit different because I’m trying out my first ever Bakes on Mesh look! 😮

What is Bakes on Mesh you ask? The simplest answer is: system layers (and system skins especially) are BACK!  The lengthier explanation is: you can now wear up to 60 system layers consisting of a combination of skin (something we’ve always worn under our mesh bodies but some makers removed the face to), tattoo/makeup layers and clothing layers and they will quite literally bake (or flatten for those familiar with layers and Photoshop) into one texture/layer that loads on the mesh head/body of your choice.

An incredibly thorough explanation (with picture guides) can be found here: Get Baked – A Quick Beginners’ Guide to Using Bakes on Mesh. There’s also a good amount of videos that can walk you through it if you prefer video … on youtube!

I have to admit that the journey of finding a decent system skin that fits heads and bodies without having to use corrective implements like nail correcting gloves and sock layers have been a feat in and of itself; especially for darker skin.  Long story short: still looking for dark skins that I REALLY like.

That being said, I did find a link to an ongoing spreadsheet that is showing us what places are now making BoM compatible skins for which heads/bodies so that we can better locate them.  If you see stores missing, contact the owner of the spreadsheet and I’m sure they’ll add them. That can be found here.

Anyway,  I must say I do love this skin from 7 Deadly Skins.  It got just enough highlight without being overly done and fits the already BoM compliant Slink bodies and heads perfectly! So definitely go check them out and hopefully you’ll find something you’ll enjoy as well!

TTFN for now kids…it was WAY WAY past my bedtime when I started writing this and I have since fallen asleep, woke myself up snoring and s’mo!  So now time for me to get unstuck from this crescent thing I’m on (yay coordination! LOL) before Santa finds out I’ve been climbing on things in the window again!! 😛

Going Out
