Waiting in the Corner…

I was walking to my next rendezvous point and I thought the address was a tad shady. The setup: I was to seduce my mark and entrap him.  Everything was perfect: my hair, the clothing, my makeup…PERFECT.  But I digress. Something felt…off; way off.  This didn’t feel like any other assignment. There was a lingering of imbalance in the air.

As I reached to grab the doorknob to enter the hotel, I heard a sound.  Nothing that a regular person would have detected, but a sound that was misplaced for this part of town.  I loudly opened the door and fake walked into the hotel so as to make it seem like I went inside, but went flush to the wall instead to stake out who was approaching; pistol loaded in case I needed to shoot…my hand covering the piece in case others walked past. The footsteps became heavier and slightly uneven in tone, suggesting this person had an injury.  A few more seconds and I’d know who was on my tail.  Until then, however, I’ll wait here in the corner until my prey is revealed.

Stopping for Groceries

After a long day at work, I went and picked up my little one so we could head home.  On the way home, we swung by a new supermarket down the street: Giggity’s beYou Grocery Store & Ill Nana’s beYou Cafe.  It had everything we needed and more.  My little apple dumpling even spotted these cute little shopping carts and helped me shop today by driving it around so I could look at my list and grab what we needed for dinner: lasagna with meatballs (yum!).

I think I got everything on the list.  Thank heavens I can check my beYou profile and grab the ingredients list from their recipe page to make sure I pick up everything in one trip! Let me swing on by the bakery to pick up dessert and some treats for later.
